National Kidney Federation

The National Kidney Federation is the only UK charity run by kidney patients for kidney patients.

Its aim is to promote, throughout the United Kingdom, the best renal medical practice and treatment, the health of persons suffering from kidney disease or renal failure, and to support the related needs of those relatives and friends who care for kidney patients. ShareHD

ShareHD is a health foundation- funded programme that aims to support patients receiving haemodialysis (HD) treatment in hospital to be more independent and confident in participating in aspects of their own haemodialysis care. There is considerable evidence that greater patient engagement and helping people to manage their own health, is associated with better outcomes across a range of medical conditions.
