Directions
Clean the savoy cabbage and remove the stalk. Cut the savoy cabbage into fine strips and cook in boiling water for 4 min. Pour away the water and rinse the savoy cabbage with cold water (the colder the water, the greener the savoy cabbage), drain well.
Finely dice the onions and steam them in 30 g butter until translucent.
Add whipping cream and milk, bring to the boil and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
Add the savoy cabbage, cook for 1 min. and thicken with a bit of mashed potato powder to taste.
Slightly brown 50 g butter in small saucepan. Add the chopped walnuts and serve with the mash.
Nutrition Tips
To vary, try the recipe with white cabbage or increase the portion of potato - of course, do not forget to soak properly in order to reduce the potassium content.
